Hi

It is not an uncommon idea that to engage with art is to engage with ourselves - whether you're making a piece or are simply viewing it.

Art that specifically features a human form can ask us not only to see ourselves within it, but develop a relationship with the subject/s. Perhaps it is someone we relate to, someone we aspire to be, or it can be as simple as having company in the house.

We have a collector who dots Mireia Serra works through her house; she says they are like friends around each corner that make her smile.

This week we are featuring works with a human subject...
Mitchell Cheesman, Self Portrait Before Hair Pile Tile, Oil and Moustache Hair on Canvas, 180cm x 160cm
Dai Li, Short Hair Lady in White Dress, Stoneware with Glaze, 32cm x 10cm x 11cm
Mireia Serra, Unfolding Dreams, Bronze and Iron, 12cm x 24cm x 3cm
Rhonda Cao, Wait a Wile, Bronze, 57cm x 30cm x 28cm
Whether you are purchasing your first piece of art or adding to your collection, we are happy to help you in many ways...

You may like to spread the cost of purchasing your artwork. This is fine with us!! We have some great flexible options:

The G Contemporary Payment Plan
You can make a purchase with a small deposit and instalments over time. We can discuss a bespoke payment arrangement with you in order to own your desired piece of art over an agreed time frame. This is a flexible way to purchase comfortably. We have had clients in the past who have an ongoing lay-by arrangement purchasing piece after piece! Just contact us and we’ll work with your budget. We will store the art for you until the final payment is made.

Transit Insurance
The G Contemporary offers complimentary transit insurance globally to your home.
The G Contemporary acknowledges the Kabi Kabi people as the traditional custodians of the land upon which we work and live in Noosa. We recognise their connection to land, waters, and community, and acknowledge First People’s significant contributions to art and culture. We pay our respects to the elders, past, present, and future, whilst extending that respect to all First Nations people.
