Leon Zhan (2000) is an Australian-Chinese artist in his final year of Bachelor of Fine Arts at RMIT in Melbourne. Through painting and sculpture, he explores the power and simplicity of mass cultural iconography and language. Zhan embraces the cultural and iconic visual branding, whilst often relating to and embracing his own Chinese heritage. It is the convergence of pop culture, Chinese antiquity, basketball, graphic design delivered with his highly finished, graphic pictorial art practice which makes Zhan's work so personal, captivating and alluring.

Leon Zhan has already made an impact within the art world with works hung at GOMA in Brisbane, presented at Spring1883 (2021) with his Melbourne Gallery, Discordia, as well as making his mark with some prestigious art prizes and publications.
