The G Contemporary

The G Contemporary (formerly known as The Gallery Eumundi) was created from a twenty year-old gallery established in the Hinterland of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. It was based in an iconic 100 year-old Queenslander (the former home of a well-known Australian landscape artist, Hal Barton) in the historic town of Eumundi. The gallery has an established reputation for contemporary Australian Fine Art plus contemporary Indigenous Art with a strong body of ceramic artists and bronze sculptors. The gallery directors have worked collaboratively with their artists to represent them overseas in the Hong Kong art market since 2013 and Singapore in 2016.

Ten years ago the directors changed the business model of the gallery to become a web-based platform with online sales and continuing to work closely and in person with clients on an art consultancy basis. The directors have also increased the diversity of artist collaborations made possible by extensive national and international networking. The gallery directors invest significant time to support young emerging Australian artists through mentor-ship and introduction to clients and other establishments. This has led the gallery to have a robust reputation in art advice and sales by installing confidence in the art market for artists and the client base, both nationally and internationally.

As the journey of the gallery continues, the directors strategically work in innovative ways with their chosen artists to succeed in the ever evolving art scene both in Australia and overseas. In 2020 The G Contemporary pivoted back into a contemporary space in the heart of Noosa on the iconic Hastings Street.

The G Contemporary has a robust reputation in sourcing contemporary art, providing art advice and sales. The directors provide strong curatorial exhibitions with the aim of introducing exciting relevant works to their audiences.

The need to connect has become even more necessary during the year of 2020. Art appreciation has become a conduit of conversation as well as enhancing the spaces in which we find ourselves in more often than ever. The motivation to introduce an eclectic collection by dedicated artists to global citizens comes from a strong belief that art can provide pleasure in so many ways. Please enjoy the art available and reach out to connect with The G Contemporary…
