Local Artist – Local Content Art Prize 2023 Winner and Finalist
| We are delighted to have two of our gallery artists Ben Hedström and June Sartracom as finalists in the Local Artist – Local Content Art Prize 2023 at Caloundra Regional Gallery. It is our great pleasure to inform you that last night, Ben Hedström was awarded the winning, Best in Show Acquisitive Award with the fabulous oil painting ‘Creek Reflection I (Coolum)’. Ben’s beautiful palette knife oil paintings of atmospheric local scenes are a delight to indulge in and we are not surprised that he should be awarded this prestigious art prize. We are also excited to see June Sartracom’s work as a finalist with the fabulous reductive abstractive art represented so beautifully in ‘Cascade Series 1’, acrylic on canvas. Congratulations to both artists for their great achievement and if possible do visit the exhibition at Caloundra Regional Gallery which will be on until 7 May 2023.
