We are thrilled to announce a new artist collaboration with Sydney artist, Peta Minnici. We have fallen in love with her work and have a huge desire to share this wonderfully talented artist with you.
Exploring themes of memory, longing, presence and absence, and the transience of life. Drawing on personal experiences, Minnici constructs atmospheric interiors, intimate figurative portraits, and still life that resonate with emotional depth. Through intuitive mark making and tonal brush work, her works unfold slowly – capturing the ghostly imprint of time on the body, space, and psyche.
Peta has been recognised with numerous accolades, including the John Olsen Award for Drawing, the Parkers Fine Art Award for Painting, and the Kedumba Drawing Award. She has been a finalist in the Dobell Drawing Award (2019, 2021), the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship (2017), the Calleen Art Award and the Fishers Ghost Art Award, among others. She has undertaken artist residencies at Bundanon Trust and Presbyterian Ladies College.
Works are held in both private and public collections across Australia. Minnici’s practice has been profiled in Art Collector Magazine, and featured in the book, ‘Still Life’ written by Amber Creswell Bell and the book, ‘Clayton Utz The First Five Years’ written by Max Germanos and Dr Judith Pugh.
Peta’s works are strong oil paintings, conveying a delicacy and beauty that is captivating and wondrous. Do not hesitate to contact us for more information or if you are tempted to acquire any of these beautiful works… + read more
