Opening Night ‘What The Blue Note Wrote On Brick Mountain’ by Mitchell Cheesman

Our busiest opening yet… the gallery was buzzing with celebration for Mitchell Cheesman’s What The Blue Note Wrote On Brick Mountain.

On Saturday evening, the gallery saw its busiest exhibition opening yet!! Friends of Mitchell and The G Contemporary alike stood, with a drink in hand, to admire the new works. With it’s sophisticated colour palette, surreal scenes and touch of humour – it is hard to not be captured by Cheesman’s enigmatic vignettes.

Cheesman had written a poem for each of the three large works, to which he read aloud to the gallery. It was a moment of insight and connection you only get at an event like this.

The exhibition at The G Contemporary, Hastings Street, Noosa Heads will run until Sunday 1st February. The gallery is open seven days a week; please check the website thegcontemporary.com for daily opening times.

There are still a few pieces available; please see the exhibition catalogue below…
