Translations Prelude

We are thrilled to collaborate with Michael Eather and Fireworks Gallery, Brisbane to introduce you to First Nations artists Rosella Namok and Walala Tjapaltjarri. Both artists are established painters and have exhibited extensively nationally and internationally. Over the years, they have collaborated with Fireworks Gallery and the infamous Campfire Groupto produce exciting and innovative works combining modern concepts with traditional artwork, stories and culture.

At The G Contemporary, we are particularly interested in the creative process of translating two-dimensional works into stunning contemporary bronze sculptures.

An extensive exhibition is planned for 2025 to open the ‘translation’ dialogue. In anticipation of the more considerable discussion, we are showcasing a taster of some examples of works by Rosella and Walala this month with Translations Prelude.

Do not hesitate to reach out for further information or in-depth images of the stunning works being shown.
