‘Sketches’ Opening Night by Dai Li

Saturday night brought together an excited crowd to meet local Sunshine Coast ceramicist, Dai Li. The G Contemporary gallery had been transformed into a minimalist space to showcase the incredible new collection, ‘Sketches’. Each beautiful ceramic figure captures individuality through subtle nuances. This solo exhibition will bring a smile to your face and is a must-see. “My ceramic works often express fleeting, repetitive moments in life. However, unlike portraits and caricatures, I regard my ceramics as fictional. They are not you or me, or anyone we know, but they may contain qualities you and I are familiar with.
