Christopher Phillips

Christopher's work is an exploration of the human condition with a focus on how our internal experiences relate to our external environments. How our relationships with both ourselves and others are impacted by the natural and man made environments within which we live. Christopher completed an Advanced Diploma in Printing, Graphic Art and Multimedia at Melbourne’s RMIT and was awarded DUX in 2001. Christopher went on to work as a graphic artist and photographer for companies such as SBS, L'Oréal, Vogue Living, Marie Claire, The London Symphony Orchestra and later working as an Art Director for Google. Christopher’s photographic commissions include portraits of Queen Elizabeth II, Sir David Attenborough and Ian Thorpe. During this period Christopher continued to exhibit and take on commissions for his personal artwork, exhibiting in London, Sydney and Melbourne. Christopher’s work is held in private collections and has appeared in national and international publications including Vogue Living, Australian GQ, Bell Magazine (AU), W Magazine (US), Deluxe Digital (UK), Culture Magazine (AU), 1883 Digital (UK), Monster Children (AU) Marie Claire (AU)
