‘Remember to Forget’ Solo Exhibition Opening Night
| On Saturday evening we celebrated the official opening of ‘Remember to Forget‘ with local abstract artist, Michael Whitehead, collectors and art lovers at The G Contemporary. It was a wonderful gathering with plenty of art talk and appreciation for the stunning abstract paintings. For collectors who have followed Michael’s career over the years, there were recognisable glimpses of his signature works, whilst exploring an exciting new direction with more deconstructed acrylic works on primed linen. Remember to Forget is a line in the song, ‘Easy to Slip’ by legendary LA band Little Feat. Michael discussed his art practice in detail and led the audience to a greater understanding to the process and intention of his paintings. The collection is breathtaking in our Hastings Street contemporary art space and is definitely a highlight in the art calendar on the Sunshine Coast this month. The exhibition at The G Contemporary, Hastings Street, Noosa Heads will run until Sunday 28 April.
